Bienvenida Amiga. Whether you are in a black, brown, Latinx, indigenous, or white body. Si su cuerpo ha visto muchos años o pocos años. You are welcome here. It is our goal to create a healing space para todas.

We started this conference because we saw the need for it in our area. We have yet to see a mental health conference para nosotras. Estaremos traduciondo todo, asi que ahi las esperamos. So this year we are starting small with big hopes for el futuro. The theme for this year is, healthy relationships for the latina woman — relaciones sanas para la mujer latina. ¡Estan honorablemente invitadas to bring all of your Latinidad ! ¡Bienvenidas!

“ As for my little dream of the conference, let's say it started nearly three years ago. I noticed that there were so many conferences but rarely anything focused on our community’s needs. When I shared with Vanessa about it last year, I knew I finally found my partner because she was dreaming of the same thing too. Vanessa understood that our community needs and deserves its own mental health conference geared towards our unique experiences.

“ I realized that there was a need for a Latina Mental health conference pretty early on in my career. As a first generation Latina and therapist myself, I saw the disparity between the number of bilingual therapists in my area and the growing need for mental health services.

This made me want to create a space where other Latina’s could talk about their experiences and feel represented in their identities. And so after reaching out to my respected colleague Eva Castillo who also shared the same vision we began creating the idea for Sanado Juntas! “
